Would you like to dive into the wilderness of Sayan mountains?
This route is covered big distance with plenty of different sceneries.
You will see highland tundra, calm lake in the surrounding of the ridges and stormy waterfalls.
Our camps will be set near fast rivers, lakes and small brooklets. There will be opportinity to try fishing for graylings in Karatosh river.How to go to Abakan
- flight Moscow-Abakan. There are two airlines: Vladavia and S7.
- flight Moscow-Krasnoyarsk (check airlines on momondo.com). Taxi from airport Emelyanovo to bus station cost about 1000 roubles.
Bus Krasnoyarsk-Abakan (depart every hour from bus station). (about 600 roubles, takes 7 hours).
If you want to go with comfort you can buy train ticket -platzkart (about 800 roubles, takes 9 hours).
Features
We'll cross two rivers: Ona and Karatosh. Temperature is about +10..+30 celsius at day and about 0 at night

- backpack, warm sleeping bag (with extreme temperature to -15 celsius), sleeping pad
(warm sleeping bag, sleeping mat and backpack can be rented, if you write us in advance).
- trekking shoes (wore in), light shoes for river wading and day's rest
- rain jacket, pants, fleece pullover, thermal underwear, socks (2 pairs of cotton and 1 pairs of warm trekking socks), cap, raincoat
- the dishes (mug, spoon, bowl and knife)
- forehead lamp
- matches, personal first-aid kit, dental paste with tooth brush, tissue

| 1 | Transfer Abakan - Abaza - start point of hike. At first two hundreds meters we will cross small swamp and the head of Bolshoi On river. Then climbing to Kurukul pass (about 2100m above sea level). Descent along Kurukul brooklet in the conifer woods with undergrowth of prairieweed. |

Descent along Kurukul valley. In august you can find redcurrant and mushrooms near the trail. Crossing the rivers Ona and Karatosh. Passage upwards in Karatosh valley. |

| 3 | Today we will get Posarym lake. This is very calm and secluded place far away from noisy crowds. Sometimes you can see common loon at the surface. | 10 |

Walking to Kara-Hol lake. Meeting with local tuvans people. Short trek along Ustyu-Eldig-Hem river up to the forest border. Along the trail you can see rocks and boulders. |
