Belukha mountain (4500m) is highest point of Siberia located on border of Russia and Kazakhstan. White peaks are visible from the distance. Most interesting trekking itinerary is non-linear route via valleys of Oroktoy and Kucherla rivers. There are two main rivers in this area: Akkem river (grey-whote color) and Kucherla river (turquoise). Akkem river takes beginning from Akkem lake, at height of 2200m.

Please note, Belukha tour is in special permit area. Documents for permit should be sent at least two month in advance.

List of equipment
- backpack (recommended 60-80 litres), warm sleeping bag (with comfort temperature to 0 celsius), sleeping pad.
- trekking shoes, light shoes for day's rest
- rain jacket, pants, fleece pullover, thermal underwear, socks (2 pairs of cotton and 1 pairs of warm trekking socks), cap, raincoat
- the dishes (mug, spoon, bowl and knife)
- forehead lamp
- matches, personal first-aid kit, dental paste with tooth brush, tissue

1 Transfer Barnaul - Tyungur (600km, 12 hours). Accommodation: tents 600
2 In the morning we will meet our horseman and left the luggage for next camp. First part of adventure begin. In russian truck GAZ-66 we will reach Kuzuyak pass (1500 m), and descend to valley of Akkem river. Akkem means white water due to color of glacial river. Hiking up to Oroktoy valley. Distance by truck 11 km. Accommodation: tents 0
3 Hiking up in Oroktoy valley. Ascent to high trail. Please note, there are no water sources till the end of the day. I recommend to take 1l water with you. We will see white peaks of Belukha massive in the distance. Camping place is in very scenic place with stunning view to mountains. Accommodation: tents 18
4 Hike on highlands to Aktash stream. Today we will cross part of Sailyugem national park. Please note, there are no water source till evening. Accommodation: tents 21
5 Hike to Tekelyu river. Teke means mountain goat. We will climb to ridge and will go with view to main mountain ridge. We will hike nearby outliers rock, which look like layered cake. Steep descent to valley with a view to the waterfalls. Accommodation: tents 6
6 Hike to Yarlu valley. Steep ascend will take couple of hours. Then we will go towards Akkem lake and Yarlu mountains. We will set up a camp at east part of the lake with fewer people, where firewood available. Accommodation: tents 10
7 Hike to Akkem lake. There are beautiful views to Belukha. Accommodation: tents 12
8 Hiking to «Seven lakes» valley with view to majestic Ak-oyuk peak (which means «White hollow»).Accommodation: tents 17
9 Crossing narrow part of Akkem lake on boat. Hiking to Karatyurek pass, which means Black Heart. Its highest point of our trekking (3070 m). Long but not difficult ascent with views to Akkem and Kucherla valleys. Hiking along the ridge. Accommodation: tents 18
10 Hiking along the ridge, descent to Kuylyu valley. Accommodation: tents 8
11 Descend to Elan place. Picking up by car, return to Tyungur. Banya. Accommodation at lodge. 16
12 Transfer to Barnaul. 600
