Belukha mountain (4500m) is highest point of Siberia located on border of Russia and Kazakhstan. White peaks are visible from the distance. Most interesting trekking itinerary is non-linear route via valleys of Oroktoy and Kucherla rivers. There are two main rivers in this area: Akkem river (grey-whote color) and Kucherla river (turquoise). Akkem river takes beginning from Akkem lake, at height of 2200m.

Please note, Belukha tour is in special permit area. Documents for permit should be sent at least two month in advance.

List of equipment
- backpack (recommended 60-80 litres), warm sleeping bag (with extreme temperature to -15 celsius), sleeping pad
(warm sleeping bag, sleeping mat and backpack can be rented, if you write us in advance).
- trekking shoes, light shoes for river wading and day's rest
- rain jacket, pants, fleece pullover, thermal underwear, socks (2 pairs of cotton and 1 pairs of warm trekking socks), cap, raincoat
- the dishes (mug, spoon, bowl and knife)
- forehead lamp
- matches, personal first-aid kit, dental paste with tooth brush, tissue

1 Transfer Barnaul - Tyungur (12 hours in minivan). Accommodation: tents 600
2 In the morning we will meet our horseman and left the luggage for next camp. First part of adventure begin. In russian truck GAZ-66 we will reach Kuzuyak pass (1500m), and descend to valley of Akkem river. Akkem means white water due to color of glacial river. Hiking up to Oroktoy valley. Distance by truck 11km. Accommodation: tents 15
3 Hiking up in Oroktoy valley. Ascent to high trail. We will see white wall of Belukha in the distance. Camping place is in very scenic place with stunning view to mountains. Accommodation: tents 10
4 Hike on highlands to Aktash stream. Today we will cross part of Sailyugem national park. Accommodation: tents 16
5 Hike to Tekelyu river. View to waterfalls. Steep descent to valley. Accommodation: tents 6
6 Reaching Akkem lake. We will set up a camp at east part of the lake with less people, where firewood available. Accommodation: tents 10
7 Hiking around Akkem lake. There is Yarlu valley with colored red and purple rocks close to Akkem lake. Accommodation: tents 12
8 Crossing narrow part of Akkem lake on boat. Hiking through Karatyurek pass to valley of Kucherla. It's highest point of our trekking (3070m). Long but not difficult hike with views to Akkem and Kucherla valleys. If weather will be good it's possible to see glaciers of North-Chuensis ridge. Accommodation: tents 7
9 Hiking to Kucherla lake. Trail goes through the forest without water. Kucherla lake is big and deep colored of green-blue. Accommodation: tents 12
10 Descend along Kucherla. Accommodation: tents 15
11 Descend to Tyungur. Banya. Accomodation at lodge. 16
12 Transfer to Barnaul. 600
